About Me

This dream is a long time in the making. As the last of five children in my family, the cameras had long been put away by the time I arrived. Until I could afford a camera of my own around the age of 10 after saving my paper route money, my earlier years could be summed up with a mere handful of shutter clicks.  Fast forward to becoming a Father for the first time in 2004 and again in 2007, the shutter hasn’t stopped. In a few short years I amassed over 100,000 photos capturing nearly every moment of my boys lives.

I am my own worst critic. I obsess over what always seems to be the smallest detail.

Much like any form of art, photography is subjective and not everyone is going to like my work.  I need to be ok with that.  Some clients have very specific looks or edits they like, other clients are much more open to my interpretation.  I have done tests and posted the same photo on multiple photography sites and have been told everything from it is incredible, to it's nice and all the way down to it's terrible.  At the end of day, I will never be able to please them all, so as long as my clients are happy, then I am happy.

I believe that nothing is more sexy than the drama of black and white photography. Nothing.

Lastly, most photographers are softies at heart and hate saying 'no', so when you see us on site, please try not to tap us on the shoulder and say "can you grab a few shots of my athlete for me".  Please respect that we are there representing paying clients and they deserve our full attention and dedication.  We will gladly work with you on your own project.

People to Thank

My Brother John.

After ‘losing’ all my gear back in 2018, my brother dug up some old gear and got me up and running again. It’s been a slow progression, but without him, I would not have been able to start over so quickly.

My Sons. The inspiration behind it all.

‘You’ll appreciate it someday’.  A saying I get made fun of for a lot at home.  As I said earlier, growing up without any pics of my own will hopefully give them an appreciation at some point later in their life. My hope is that they can look back through their mass of catalogued albums and enjoy all the memories with their family one day.

To my son Logan, who purchased his first Polaroid camera in 2022 because he liked the ‘vintage’ look and instant prints - never stop clicking!!  I love your vision and I love the story each picture tells.

To my son Benji, who constantly 'models' for me as I try new techniques and never complains - and in the end is always excited to see what we created.  Your support never goes unappreciated.

To both of you...thank you for taking this journey with me and helping me drag gear, set up and even assist with photoshoots.  I love you guys!

My Wife Michelle.

My biggest fan. My biggest supporter.  Always the first to ‘heart’ my posts and always leaving me a little message of inspiration.

As a hobby from my full time career, this passion of mine takes long hours, late nights and weekends.  Her patience to deal with ‘Can you just look at this gallery one more time…or can you believe this picture someone took?’ amongst a long list of other ‘Honey can you…’, without ever complaining, makes this journey that much more rewarding.  Incredibly, in 2023, she has become my Creative Director helping me with many artwork compositions for clients! Without her continual love and support, I would not be able to do what I do.
